Sara’s bio: Sara began her regular practice of hatha yoga and meditation when she was 18 years old and just beginning college. Recognized in Chicago as an accomplished yoga teacher, Sara’s resume also includes teaching yoga in Japan for 2 years, online yoga classes, international retreats and has assisted master teacher trainings and immersions. In 2004 she was initially certified by the White Lotus Foundation of Santa Barbara, CA and in 2009 was initiated as an Anusara Yoga teacher.
Always a student, Sara annually studies with her teachers Noah Maze and Darren Rhodes. Since 1999 Sara has been studying classical yoga philosophy and took up interest in Tantra in 2006. Sara receives her yoga dharshana from Christopher Hareesh Wallis, Christopher Tompkins and Douglas R. Brooks.
Throughout the year Sara works to evolve her teaching strategies in workshops, retreats, intensives and guest spots to local teacher trainings. In 2016 she was the guest key note speaker at the Radish Yoga Fest in Rock Island, IL. She formulates content for these events as if she was a curious student attending. Thorough investigations are plotted out in these courses and, in general, are accessible to a mixed level of students and teachers.
Sara is blessed to share life with her husband Todd, and daughters Celeste and Autumn. She loves to cook, hike, read and craft. Catch her on yogavibes.com, in the studio at Yogaview in Chicago or as a contributor to Conscious Living TV.
