Karen is a wellness coach, integrative healer, yoga teacher, and mindfulness/embodiment facilitator. She received her RYT200 level training through Practice Indie, and she is also certified as an Embody Love Movement facilitator. She believes in the potency of loving kindness; the necessity of revolutionary self-care; and the brilliance of the body, mind and soul.
She first found yoga by practicing in her parents’ basement to some VHS tapes she found in an infomercial when she was in high school. Humble beginnings. It was a profound grace that she developed any semblance of a practice that early, because yoga has been a necessary resource on her healing journey — allowing her to transform her relationship to herself and her body, heal from trauma and autoimmune illness, and come to know her own worth.
Her style is soulful and sensual, inviting you to tune into your body and being in each breath. She holds space for her students to flourish in their yoga practice and lives by offering sustaining foundations, deeper elements of yoga/life philosophy, and reflecting their own wholeness and brilliance.
