Monica Hingst

Monica started practicing yoga in 2014 as a way to support her long distance running habit. Once she discovered that yoga was not just fancy stretching, she never turned back. Monica found herself leaving classes renewed mentally and spiritually (and, it did of course help her running!). She received her RYT200 hour in May of 2017 at Practice Indie Yoga under the guidance of two magical humans, Shannon Brasovan and Purvi Lippincott.

Monica’s passion is people and empowering others to discover and be their best self. She also believes the best way to treat yo’self is through tending to the body, mind and spirit. Teaching yoga became her way of connecting the two. She thinks the best way to empower others is by first  knowing and loving yourself. Through self-empowerment and empowerment of others, both on and off your mat, we can build a better community rooted in love and light. Monica’s intention when she teaches is to spread love, light and laughter, and create a space to explore peace, perspectives, and self-love.
